West Homes (Yorkshire Ltd) was founded in 2017 by Andrew and Stephen West

Andrew an Electrical engineer has over 40 years’ experience in working on sites and even developed his own very successful electrical engineering company!

However, building and Construction has always been his passion so, to create a company that can build brand new homes, breathe new life into rundown properties or design and create more space for families needing a house to adapt to today’s modern living , was a dream come true for Andrew.

Stephen West has over 37 years of experience in civil engineering including large construction projects on new schools up to £1.5 million and large-scale renovations of police stations up to 360,000.00.

In 2015 Stephens company helped create the wonderful landscaping areas in and around The York Museum Gardens including edible gardens. Other projects he has recently completed include the building of four semi-detached houses in Micklefield, Building a number of four-bedroom detached houses in York and the renovation of the 5 Bedroom house.

So, the chance to create his very own building company which bears the West name which will be passed down through generations well again the decision was simple.

We prides ourselves on being a very family orientated company, specialising in New Builds, Renovations, Conversions, Extensions, and loft conversions.

Since we started our projects have included the build of a brand new four-bedroom high specification detached house with double garage. A sympathetic yet modern renovation of an old cottage and renovation of more homes in Haxby and Huntington creating extra living space with an open plan design.

All our tradesmen are apprentice trained and are highly skilled in their fields!

We are happy to work with any Architects who our clients may choose, however we also work closely with our regular architect who has a very much can-do approach and competitive fees should you wish to use him.

Because all three directors are very much hands on, we feel we have a better relationship with our employees than most other companies a real Team feel!
